I confirmed it wasn't stolen by going to the place he said he bought it fairly large car audio chain and confirmed it by showing them the unit and giving them his name and phone number. Thanks DJmixman for the help I disconnected the battery fix the cord and when i reconnected it I forgot my password. I searched all over the net for a solution and called pioneer the only option 1a. Thank you for your post because i would have to unistall, wait weeks,pay over And yes I purchased my radio myself brand new it was not stolen.
Thanks for this! When I came to fit it I discovered it had a password. I contacted the seller and he was helpful giving me loads to try, but he couldn't remember what it was. My search brought me here and a quick download, print the instructions, rush out to the car and it's fixed. I need this mod. Same problem as many others. Bought radio new, installer never gave me the password.

My car stereo works again and I wrote down the password. Just bought a used Scion xB and the previous owner had forgotten the password. Downloaded the package, popped in the SD card and it worked perfectly. I have a XBt and changed my battery and now I am locked out because I can't remember my password.
I have entered everything but the kitchen sink. Any help you could give me would greatly be appreciated. Do not install anything - especially Hackmode. Search for and download to your PC supertestmode. As I have noted in many posts, don't password protect your unit. It won't stop a thief and will just be a big PITA in the future.
